- An eSIM compatible device. Check the list below to see if your device is SIM ready
- A wifi connection and a secondary device available to load the eSIM QR code
- Your pre-paid Kogan Mobile voucher is ready to activate!
Set-up is Simple
Step 1
Once you have purchased an eSIM compatible plan, scan the QR code in the eSIM activation email you've received, with your desired device to begin activating your eSIM.
Step 2
Enter the 4 digit confirmation code and your eSIM will now be activated.
Step 3
Now your eSIM is activated, head to koganmobile.com.au/activate and follow the prompts to activate your plan.
Step 4

FAQs
Absolutely! When you activate your new Kogan Mobile service, you will have the option to receive a new Kogan Mobile number, or bring an existing number to our network.
When you choose to port your number (i.e. bring an existing number to our network) you will be sent an SMS to your old mobile number with a security code. When you reply to the SMS with the code successfully, we will transfer your existing number to Kogan Mobile usually within 3 business hours unless it is a Sunday or public holiday. Unfortunately, our eSIMs are not currently compatible with smartwatches, however watch this space for future updates!
If you are a first time Kogan Mobile customer with a new number, your new plan should activate within 15 minutes. However, in some cases it can take up to 4 hours.
If you port your own number, it can take 15 minutes to 4 hours for the number to fully transfer. While this is happening, you will not lose connection to your previous SIM and will still be able to use your existing data.
Using an eSIM will not affect your Kogan Mobile plan at all.
If you lose your device or purchase a new device while using an eSIM you will need to order a new eSIM and follow the steps to reactivate it:
- Order an eSIM from Kogan.com
- Follow instructions in email to download the SIM to their new phone
- Call customer Care to move their existing service to the new SIM
Yes. If your device is dual SIM compatible and currently have an active plan on a physical SIM and an eSIM you can use both plans simultaneously.
If you’re using an eSIM and don’t have a dual SIM device, ensure the physical SIM is removed from your phone.
